چکیده

The term black hole is usually associated with a large astrophysical object that has formed due to huge gravitational fields that can arise in the center of massive concentrations (see, e.g., ). However, the black hole is an object in itself which should be studied within the domain of physics, irrespective of the interactions with exterior astrophysical plasmas which excite, and are excited by, the strong gravitational fields of the black hole. Here we want to understand a black hole as a physical object. This program was consciously initiated by Wheeler 2 back in the 1950s. We have not yet understood it entirely, but we have come very far, if we think that, back in 1960, Wheeler, Kruskal and others 3 managed to understand, for the first time, the global causal structure of the complete manifold of the simpler black hole, the Schwarzschild black hole. During the 1960s the black hole became well

The phase transition of corrected black hole with f(R) gravity

In this letter, we consider static black hole in f(R) gravity. We take advantage from corrected entropy and temperature and investigate such black hole. Finally, we study the $ P - V $ critically and phase transition of corrected black hole with respect to entropy and temperature. Here also, we obtain the heat capacity for the static black hole in $ f(R) $ gravity. This calculation help us...

Testing the black hole “no-hair” hypothesis

Black holes in General Relativity are very simple objects. This property, that goes under the name of “no-hair,” has been refined in the last few decades and admits several versions. The simplicity of black holes makes them ideal testbeds of fundamental physics and of General Relativity itself. Here we discuss the no-hair property of black holes, how it can be measured in the electromagnetic or...

Nature of Microscopic Black Holes and Gravity in Theories with Particle Species

Relying solely on unitarity and the consistency with large-distance black hole physics, we derive model-independent properties of the microscopic black holes and of shortdistance gravity in theories with N particle species. In this class of theories black holes can be as light as MP lanck/ √ N and be produced in particle collisions above this energy. We show, that the micro black holes must com...

The mathematical simplicity of black holes, combined with their links to some of the most energetic events in the universe, means that black holes are key objects for fundamental physics and astrophysics. Until recently, it was generally believed that black holes in nature appear in two broad mass ranges: stellar-mass (M ∼ 3 − 20M⊙), which are produced by the core collapse of massive stars, and...

Black Holes, Entropy, and Information

Black holes are a continuing source of mystery. Although their classical properties have been understood since the 1970’s, their quantum properties raise some of the deepest questions in theoretical physics. Some of these questions have recently been answered using string theory. I will review these fundamental questions, and the aspects of string theory needed to answer them. I will then expla...
